Courses: MODULE OVERVIEW: Self-Directed Work Teams
Being
part of a self-directed work team requires flexibility, innovation,
and an understanding of key attributes of each team member. Prior
to deploying a newly formed team, it makes sense to train them and
provide them with tools for effective self-management.
Course Content
The following is a summary of what we will learn in this module:

to assess staff skills and matching the right person to the right
work assignments
- Crafting
goals that employees can aim for and achieve
- Communicating
goals and objectives to reduce misunderstandings and the potential
for demotivation
- Empowerment
and accountability: Understanding the benefits of delegation

to motivate team members who only put in the minimum effort required
to do a job
- Keeping
team members on task, on time, and on budget
Audience:
All
employees that are assigned a team project could benefit from this
module. The major objective is to create an understanding of how
to work effectively on a team.
Timing:
This
module can be presented with a minimum of two to four hours.
